A possible shooting incident in Calhoun County remains under investigation.
Calhoun County Sheriff Glenn Kimbrel says Wednesday morning a caller informed his office that someone had fired shots at a vehicle.
Deputies with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, the Bay County Sheriff's Office and the officers with the Florida Highway Patrol searched the area. Deputies took one person in for questioning, but Kimbrel says he had nothing to do with the shooting.
"The investigation is continuing at this time. Basically, we had a person that was traveling through the area at the time of this incident and he was questioned but not charged and released," Kimbrel said.
"We have no weapon, no victim and only one witness that said that shots were fired at a vehicle at this time," Kimbrel added.
In addition, Kimbrel said that the person that was questioned did not attempt to get on a school bus, as had been previously reported today.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office at 850-674-5049.
