A full scale Tabernacle has been built outside of Carlisle Baptist Church off S. Berthe Avenue. The life size replica of the Old Testament structure is the exact size listed in Bible scripture and even statues mimic the same clothing warn by high priests.
Founder of Pattern of Approach Ministries, Jesse Spiers, leads the tours which last about 40 minutes. He says the significance and relevance of the exhibit can be compared to Christianity today.
"This right here gives images to the page," said Spiers about the replica. "But, more than that, it gives us meaning behind these vessels. The vessels have a meaning in a historical setting, but they also have a meaning today.
"They talk about how they still come as a people before a very Holy God."
