Deputies responded last night to a report of an armed robbery. At 7:14 pm, a 911 call was received from the victim, Joseph Michanczyk, of Connecticut.
The victim advised that at approximately 2 pm, he was approached in the Joan Avenue area by three black males driving in a newer model orange Chevrolet Camaro with an unknown Alabama tag. The passenger of the Camaro brandished a handgun, and demanded that the victim give him all of his money. The victim gave the suspects approximately $9.
The suspects then forced Michanczyk into the vehicle, and drove to the victim's hotel room, where he was forced to give them an additional $120. One of the suspect's then pointed the handgun at the victim and told him to get into the corner of the room. The suspects departed the area.
The suspect with the handgun is described as a black male with facial hair and a forearm tattoo with the numerals "203".
