A Week-Long Immersion in All Things Chianti Awaits Four Talented Storytellers
Applications accepted through May 31 to visit Vinci, Italy and help bring to life the people and place behind DaVinci Wine
HEALDSBURG, Calif., March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DaVinci Wine is seeking creative individuals with a taste for travel, a passion for food and a talent for sharing life's greatest moments, as the Tuscan label launches its third-annual Storyteller Experience.
The program, which has sent eight talented Storytellers to Tuscany since 2011, is back in year three with a uniquely Tuscan twist: A Course in Chianti. The four 2013 Storytellers will visit the home of Chianti during harvest season this fall to experience a week of world-class education, exploration, and entertainment, with a focus on all things Chianti.

Hosted on the brand's popular Facebook page, the DaVinci Storyteller Experience is designed to give artists, photographers, chefs, writers and other creative types a behind-the-scenes look at the people and place behind the brand's distinguished wines in the beautiful Tuscan town of Vinci-birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci and home to DaVinci Wine's thriving cooperative of over 200 growers.
Content created by past Storytellers has included works of art, enchanting blog series, mouthwatering recipes, multimedia videos, and captivating photography, all debuted by DaVinci Wine to its thousands of fans on Facebook.
And this year, those Facebook fans will play an important part in Storyteller selection by voting to help decide who the final four Storytellers will be.
Creative types across four disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply:
Applications will be judged in three areas: a personal essay, samples of work, and social media influence. DaVinci is looking for individuals who are not only talented in their chosen category, but also interested in wine and Italian culture and sharing their creativity and experience with others via social media.
In June, DaVinci will announce twelve Storyteller finalists who will go to a public vote on the DaVinci Facebook page, with votes helping to decide the final Storyteller quartet.
"We wish we could take everyone with us to experience the incredible story behind DaVinci, but with the opportunity to vote, everyone gets a chance to help shape the way this year's story is shared with the world," said O'Brien.
DaVinci will cover the cost of air travel, hotel accommodations and meals while in Vinci for seven days; each DaVinci Storyteller, in turn, will express their experience using their creative talents. The resulting videos, recipes, stories, photography and art will be shared by the Storytellers as well as by the brand on the DaVinci website and DaVinci Facebook page.
