Two Bay High athletes inked college scholarships on Thursday at Bay High School. Soccer player Sarah Judah signed with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia. Sarah says she wants to study Criminal Law, and chose ABAC because of the small atmosphere. Sarah helped lead the Lady Tornadoes to the Regional Semi's this season, scoring 21 goals and tallying up 19 assists.
Baseball player Thomas Johnstone signed a letter of intent to play at Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia. Johnstone plays 3rd and outfield for the Tornadoes, and carries a 3.8 GPA in Bay's AICE program. He says he wants to study pre-law or business in college, and says choosing Berry was a no-brainer.
"It's really exciting," he said Thursday. "It's a gorgeous campus, great program, a great coach so I couldn't be happier. I don't really think it'll hit me until this summer. Whenever I was seven there's no way I would have thought I would have been sitting at that table signing that paper, so, it's crazy."
"It's extremely exciting," said Sarah. "I've been waiting since I was little. I always thought I would sign because I've been playing soccer for a ling time, it's just a dream come true honestly. I'm so excited and ready for my future and to see how it is on a different level and see all the new experiences and everything I haven't experienced before."
