Since 1983 Anchorage Children's Home has provided care for abused and negleted children and their families.
Over the course of 30 years Anchorage has touched the lives of over forty thousand families in the community. The focus is to protect those who cannot protect themselves and to make sure kids are safe and they're connected to the resources in the community that can help them be successful.
There are various programs that accomplish that like emergency shelter for abused, abandoned or homeless youth plus counseling programs for parents and a maternity group home among others.
According to Development Director Brooke Bullard, community involvement and support will be key for the future of Anchorage Children's Home.
