A search for a man wanted on drug charges leads to the arrest of three people in Calhoun County.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, a confidential source informed deputies of the whereabouts of James Russell Johnson. The Sheriff's Office assembled a take down team and attempted to enter the house on Calvin Martin Road.
The person that answered the door was Austin Scott, who had active felony warrants. Deputies entered the house, found Johnson both were taken into custody without incident. Johnson was found in possession two loaded handguns. In Smith's possession were a glass and a plastic meth pipe.
Deputies also found evidence of "shake and bake" meth labs in the residence, and in their investigation, tracked the purchase of the active ingredients to Teresa Savanna Bailey.
Johnson was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of listed chemicals.
Scott was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of listed chemicals and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bailey was charged with principal in the first degree to manufacture methamphetamine and possession of listed chemicals.
