Incumbent Commissioner Mike Nichols won the commission seat for Panama City Ward 4 with almost 60 percent of the vote. He was challenged by Les Nelson and James Pic.
"This is our city," said Nichols. "We need to improve our city, we need to do it as a team, and that's the only way we are going to make Panama City a better place.
"Now I know tomorrow, we've got to continue to work for the city get back at it and improve the city again."
This will be Nichols first full four year term. He was appointed to the job two years ago when Commissioner Nancy Wengel stepped down.
