Washington County Business Fined for Unlicensed Liquor Sale

The Washington County Sheriff's Office in collaboration with AB&T (State of Florida Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco), reports thousands of dollars in fines assessed against a local business for unlicensed sale and service of liquor.

Investigators received information the Thirsty Turtle Tavern in Caryville, FL was illegally selling liquor to customers.  During a licensed premise inspection, investigators discovered advertisements for the sell of liquor displayed.  In addition, bottles of liquor, wine, and jello shots were found at the business.

As a result of the violations, the establishment was accessed $4,000 in fines.   Failure to pay fines could result in the revocation of the Thirsty Turtle Tavern's license.
