After sifting through the ashes Clay Cosson, the owner and operator of Cosson's Rent-All salvaged what he could. Cosson slept in his truck outside the shop at night, to protect what was left of his tools and machines, and went back to work the day after the fire.
Smoke and flames destroyed a large portion of the building the Cosson's family has worked out of since the 1950's. Now, Cosson works under an awning that was sold to him by a friend.
It has taken Cosson a month to get phones back online and clean up what was left from the fire.
Clay said the community has been a tremendous support to him and his family and they are trying to spread the word--they are open and ready for business.
"The community has been very helpful and cooperative and helped me in any way they could," said Cosson. "You know we are still here open for business taking care of business whatever we need to do."
Cosson's is open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 o'clock PM.
