Lynn Haven Elementary students spent the afternoon celebrating Earth Day along with Arbor Day.
For the students and members of the school's Garden Club, the day started with a proclamation by Mayor Walter Kelly of Lynn Haven then the planting of two oak trees.
Along with Arbor Day the kids got to celebrate Earth Day by gathering all the recycled paper and soda pop tops that will help save our planet.
Principal of Lynn Haven Debra Spradley says she is excited to see all the children so excited over Arbor Day and the planting of the trees.
"We hope that it will instill in them that if every body does a little bit and it makes a big different the most rewording is their excitement and in hopes that it will instill them to do it in the future," says Spradley.
This is just the third year Lynn Haven Elementary has celebrated Arbor Day with the planning of a tree.
