Some kids from around Bay County woke up early on this Saturday morning, and went to the bank.

Not the one with money inside, but the bank at the big pond at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach.

The city's Parks and Recreation Department, and the Optimist Club held their annual fishing rodeo.

Rods and Reels donated by the Fish Florida Foundation were given to all the kids to promote responsible fishing practices.

Winners of Saturday's event were Renecia Hogans with the biggest catfish, Jayden Milan with the biggest bream, Ava Thomas who caught a four pound ten ounce bass.
