Years of hard work, long nights, and a whole lot of exams have finally paid off for more than 200 newly-minted graduates. Florida State University Panama City held its commencement ceremony Sunday at the Marina Civic Center.
It was an emotional day for everyone involved. Some said it was a bitter-sweet day as they're celebrating years of hard work but also realizing they won't be spending much more time on the close-knit campus.
FSU President Dr. Eric Barron and Panama City Dean Dr. Ken Shaw presided over the ceremony, where 225 graduates received bachelor's or master's degrees.
Overall, the Panama City campus awarded 351 degrees for the 2012-2013 academic year with 292 bachelor's and 59 master's degrees.
