PCB Auxiliary Officer Arrested

Posted: Updated:

An auxiliary Panama Beach police officer was arrested late Wednesday night.

Panama City Beach Police say 20-year-old Justin Keith Jenkins was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, distributing harmful material to a minor, lewd and lascivious conduct and lewd and lascivious exhibition. The arrest came after a citizen complained that Jenkins was possibly sending sexually explicit photos of himself to minors, a release said.

Authorities say that when they interviewed Jenkins, he made incriminating statements regarding him sending sexually explicit messages and photos to a minor via text messaging, social media instant messaging and online video chatting.

Jenkins was accepted as an auxiliary police officer for PCBPD in December of 2012. He's been terminated as a result of the investigation.

He was transported to the Bay County Jail. Authorities say that an investigation is ongoing.
