Mail carriers across the country returned from their routes Saturday with a full load of deliveries to make. But, it's wasn't the typical letters and parcels.
Rain showers through the day didn't stop Bay County citizens from participating in the 21st Mail Carrier Food Drive. As postal employees delivered mail Saturday afternoon, they picked up bags of non-perishable food donated by their customers.
Food drive organizers hope to bring in about 100,000 pounds of food for delivery to four local charities.
