Throughout this year many government agencies are recognizing their 100th birthday.
Saturday it was the Supervisor of Elections Office.
The right to vote is one of Bay County's most cherished franchises, and citizens took time to recognize its importance.
Several political organizations were there to celebrate being a part of the process.
Supervisor Mark Anderson praised the hundreds of volunteers that make elections run smoothly.
"I can't tell you how well and how bright Bay County shines because of the people that are within our community that go and do the elections and perform the task of being there so you can go in and cast your ballot", says Anderson.
Series of similar events are planned throughout Bay County's centennial year.
