Chipola College Bringing Back Kidz College Summer Program

Posted: Updated:

School might be out for the summer, but there's still a chance for students to head back to class...just on a different campus...

For the first time in about a decade, Chipola College is bringing back their Kidz College Summer program.

Chipola Ccollege's Continuing Education Department and Future Educators Club will host the summer program for the next couple of weeks.

Coordinator of Extended Learning and Professional Development, Alicia Hatcher, says these sessions will teach kids reading and writing skills through an interactive creative approach.

"Going to school in the Summer doesn't sound like a lot of fun but going to college in the summer sounds a little bit cooler," said Hatcher. "So we wanted to make this something that would be fun, we want them to enjoy it, and want to come back and do with next couple of years."
