Two Arrested After Meth Lab Bust

On June 12, 2013 the Walton County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), along with the Department of Children and Families, responded to 1420 North 1st Street in DeFuniak Springs in reference to a welfare check of the children in the home.  Items conducive with the manufacture of methamphetamine were observed during the visit. 

The WCSO Vice/Narcotics Unit responded and a search warrant for the residence was obtained and subsequently executed.  A methamphetamine lab was discovered in the residence including an excess of 14 grams of methamphetamine oil, finished methamphetamine powder and marijuana.

Chad R Graham, 32, and Tasha A Pettit, 24, were both arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking Methamphetamine in excess of 14 grams, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Child Neglect.

Both subjects were transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections.
