Young ladies and gentlemen, start your vegetables! you can eat 'em later.
Today at the Farmers Market at Captain Anderson's Marina there was plenty of action in the 3rd annual "Grand Zucchini Cup."
There were only a few requirements, racers had to be young at heart, they had to build their race cars at the event, and having fun was a must.
Market Coordinator Ronnie Barnes says that's what it's all about.
"I just think it's fun for anything like this it's free it's family oriented it doesn't hurt anybody and lets face it if your car is slow you can take it home and eat it", says Barnes.
The zucchini racing was divided into three size classes, compact, sedan, and SUV. Prizes were awarded to the winners, as for the losers? well, it's what's for dinner.
