(Miramar Beach) – At 11:30 a.m. on June 21, 2013, the South Walton Fire District (SWFD) responded to a multi-vehicle accident at 10005 U. S. Highway 98 West, Miramar Beach. The accident involved two vehicles with one vehicle ending up on its side. There were two patients with injuries requiring transport and one fatality on scene.
U.S. Highway 98 East and West bound lanes are affected until the investigation is complete. It is recommended that travelers avoid this area and use an alternate route.
The SWFD would like to remind our community members and visitors to exercise caution while traveling our highways; particularly as we enter into the summer season.
