UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Panama City Highway

UPDATE:  The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that a pedestrian was killed Saturday night on State Road 390 in Panama City.

According to a FHP media release, the pedestrian attempted to cross the highway and was struck by a 2003 Mitsubishi Spyder driven by Kristian Hall of Panama City Beach.

Troopers arrived at the crash site west of Fairland Avenue at 8:18 p.m.  A section of SR 390 was closed and traffic diverted while investigators worked the crash scene.

The pedestrian, whose identity is being withheld until next of kin can be notified, was pronounced dead at the scene by Bay Medical EMS paramedics, the FHP said.
