Grand Slam World Series Session II was rained out on Sunday, but World Series Session III, right behind it to keep things moving. Sunday at Pier Park, the largest World Series in Grand Slam history took to the streets to kick things off right with a parade.
144 teams take the field this week with a common goal of bringing a World Series back home. Over a dozen different states are represented this week, and everyone agreeing today was a fun way to get things started- but it's back to business on Monday.
"I thought it was pretty cool because we got to march down this walk and we did pin trading and we got to see all these other teams," said Parker Poteet from the 11U North Gwinnett Bulldogs.
"We went out and had an hour practice today and about killed ourselves," said 13U Indiana Prospect Jacob Reiber. "Tomorrow we're going back out there so we'll see. We're training hard."
Competition for World Series Session III starts Monday with pool play, with double elimination starting on Wednesday.
