The Salute to Freedom Fireworks show has been rescheduled to Saturday July 6th at 9:00 PM, all previously scheduled events will go Saturday as well from 2:00pm - 10:00pm.
Although it has been raining the Salute to Freedom Fireworks show in Panama City will still go on as long as no lightning pops up in the area.
In the mean time the fireworks are being kept dry by black trash bags and bands.
20 minutes worth of fireworks sit on a barge in the waters in Millville. The floating fireworks show took crews all week to set up and will take a four man team to put on tomorrow night.
Jesse Salveson, the logistics and compliance officer for Pyro Shows, says as of late Wednesday afternoon all systems are go.
"We got down here earlier in the week and got the whole show done," said Salveson. "It's ready to go with just a few minor little things left to do.
"We will come out here on the fourth and do our final checks the barge will take us out and we'll light the sky."
The Panama City "Salute to Freedom" fireworks show will begin at 9 o'clock Thursday night and can be seen from waterfront near the Panama City Marina.
