Gabe Moore Takes 6th In Octathlon At World Youth Championships

Freeport high school student athlete Gabe Moore will be coming back to the Florida panhandle with a very distinguished honor, sixth place in the Octathlon at The World Youth Championships.

Gabe also happens to be the Freeport Bulldogs starting Quarterback.

Gabe recently competed in the IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Gabe competing in the Octathlon, which is the Decathlon minus two of the Decathlon competitions.

The Octathlon events are the Long Jump, Shot Put, 100-meter run, 400-meter run, the high jump, 110-meter hurdles, javelin throw and 1,000-meter run.

Gabe qualified for the World Youth Championship by placing second at the USA National Youth trials in Illinois and then was the top finisher from the United States at the World Youth Championships.
