Gulf County Sheriff Mike Harrison announces the arrest of Anthony Robinson (28) of St. Joe Beach, Justin Armstead (27) of Port St. Joe, and Brittany Kyle (32) of St. Joe Beach.

The Gulf County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) responded to a shooting incident in the early morning hours of July 15, 2013.

The investigation revealed the victims were driving in the St. Joe Beach area when they encountered Armstead standing in the roadway.

Armstead distracted them, which provided Robinson an opportunity to shoot at them.  Robinson fired two rounds at the victims and one round struck the vehicle, nearly hitting the driver.

The victims were able to flee the scene without injury.  Based on witness statements and interviews it appeared the motive for the shooting was a result of ongoing problems between one of the victims and Robinson.

Through further investigation, GCSO Investigators learned Robinson's girlfriend, Brittany Kyle, was present during the incident and provided him the firearm used.  Kyle admitted to investigators she disposed of the spent shell casings, along with the remaining live ammunition, and hid the firearm.

Investigators were able to retrieve the firearm used in the incident.   Robinson was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting into an occupied conveyance.  He is currently in the Gulf County Jail held on a $25,000.00 bond.

Armstead was charged with principal to aggravated assault with a firearm and principal to shooting into an occupied conveyance.

He is currently in the Gulf County Jail held on a $20,000.00 bond.  Armstead was currently out on a $5,000.00 bond for an unrelated felony criminal mischief charge.   Kyle was charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and is awaiting first appearance.
