Panama City Beach firefighters responded to a car fire right around 6:30 Monday night at Pier Park.
A white ford explorer was the source of the fire, but it's not known what started the blaze.
The flames also destroyed the car parked beside the SUV. The car was also an SUV, blue in color and was owned by a family visiting Panama City Beach from Newnan, Georgia.
Colon Hemrick says they had only been in town a few days and saw the flames from the beach pier.
"We pulled in and were looking for a parking spot and there not many parking spots available," said Hemrick. "My wife pointed one out across the aisle and I pulled in here.
"Wrong parking spot I guess."
The Fire Marshall was on scene and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
