The Panama City Police Department and Bay Line Railroad officials say that a train carrying primarily wood chips derailed at the intersection of Kraft Avenue and 7th Court Wednesday morning, around 11.
Bay Line officials say that intersection will be closed for up to two days until cranes can be brought in to lift the cars upright.
The seven derailed cars were the last in a line of about 30 cars, most of which had already passed over the intersection, with no problem. Those cars have already been removed from the scene.
No injuries have been reported, although police officials do recommend you avoid the area until further notice.
