Bay District Schools Using Unique Advertising to Fill Positions

Posted: Updated:

Bay District School officials are using some unique advertising to fill more than a dozen available positions.

Some yellow school buses with "School Bus Drivers Wanted" signs can be seen around the Panama City area. Transportation Director Bob Downin is looking to hire about 15 part-time employees for the upcoming school year.

Downin said drivers will need a Commercial CDL License Class B and a Passenger, Air Brake, and School Bus "S" Endorsement.

"For somebody who is looking for a part-time job, it's really an opportunity, and we do all the training. We help them with all the tests and everything so all they have to do is be willing to come in and be apart of our team, and we'll get them to work."

If you would like more information or to apply for a position, call Bay District Schools' Transportation Department at 767-4495.
