FEMA Meets with Walton County Officials on Funding

Posted: Updated:

Government officials met today at the Walton County Sheriff's Office Emergency Operations Center to inform prospective applicants of possible Federal assistance from the severe storms and flooding that took place last month.

On August 2, President Barack Obama declared FEMA-4138-DR-FL for severe storms and flooding during July 2 – 7, 2013. The declaration is for Public Assistance in Holmes, Walton and Washington Counties.

All applicants who wish to receive FEMA assistance must submit their Request for Public Assistance (RPA) within 30 days after the declaration of the area where the damage occurred through the Florida Public Assistance web portal at www.FloridaPA.org.

At this time there has been no assistance designated for private and or personal use.
