The Panama City Beach Police Department and the Bay County Sheriff's Office will face off in a dance competition in this year's 'Dancing for Life' showcase and fundraiser.

Previous winner Sheriff Frank McKeithen and Panama City Beach Police Chief Drew Whitman are among this year's performers.

Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Panama City hosts the event in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society, in honor of a former dance student.

Saturday, August 10, at 6:30 p.m., the competition begins at Arnold High School in Panama City Beach.

General admission costs $25. VIP admission is $45. Call the studio for tickets at 850-873-6269. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
