Florida State Seminole fans got a chance to get a first glimpse of this year's squad as the team hosted their annual media and fan day Sunday.
The team spent the morning getting interviewed and taking some pics before meeting fans.
The Noles are coming off a twelve and two record last season capped off with a bowl win over Northern Illinois.
The Noles return several key starters on offense like Rashad Green and Kenny Shaw at wide receiver and Devonta Freeman and James Wilder Junior in the back field.
The Noles do have to replace E. J. Manuel at quarterback, but the Noles have several guys with the ability to step in and take over that starting QB role. Right now the battle seems to be between Jacob Coker and Jameis Winston. Both guys Coach Fisher said have the ability to lead the team, but Fisher said he will be watching both QB's very closely over the next three weeks and determine which one seems to have the consistency needed to play quarterback at this level.
Fisher said, "I think very well I think both guys are competing very well they are handling the situation very well they are not worrying about each other they're just boring about themselves we interact him we swap them we keep the reps equal as they go through just watching how they interact with the different groups of people and how they handle the whole their consistency that will continue to grow as they discover themselves As they pushed themselves"
The Noles hit the field for their first game on Labor Day, September 2nd, as FSU will be in Pittsburgh taking on the Pitt Panthers. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm CST.
