A string of burglaries in the South Walton subdivision of Driftwood Estates ends with the arrest of 6 on multiple charges.
Among those arrested:
22 year old Jonathan Murphy of Santa Rosa Beach - one count of dealing with stolen property.
16 year old Miguel Arceo of Santa Rosa Beach - burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.
22 year old Thomas Howells of Defuniak Springs - grand theft and criminal mischief, 8 counts.
18 year old Jacob Angelo of Panama City Beach - burglary and theft, 2 counts.
16 year old Storm Thayer of Santa Rosa Beach - armed burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief, multiple counts.
18 year old Roberto Delatorre of Santa Rosa Beach - burglary and theft, multiple counts.
All have been charged with felonies and were either involved or connected to entering multiple homes and vehicles.
Together they stole thousands worth of personal property including jewelry, guns and fishing equipment.
"The burglaries have stopped and we feel like we've been effective. We still want the public to, if they see something, to say something. Call us about anything that looks suspicious. Just because we've arrested these guys doesn't mean that something else could occur, so please be aware and let us know what's going on," said Major AJ Smith.
The WCSO confirms more than 60 burglaries occurred in a span from January to July of this year.
