Posted: Updated:

The Bay County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance to identify the suspect in a grand theft case involving the theft of lottery tickets.

On August 12, 2013, investigators were called to the Edgewater Food Mart at 6924 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach. The store manager stated that on August 11 at about 11 a.m., a white male came into the store and took over seventy lottery tickets. The tickets were $3 scratch offs. The Florida Lottery was contacted and confirmed that several of the stolen tickets were cashed the morning of the 12th at stores throughout Bay County.

Images of the suspect were captured on store security cameras. He is believed to be driving a dark colored SUV, make and model unknown. Anyone with any information on the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Bay County Sheriff's Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.

The above was released Tuesday by the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
