Posted: Updated:

On Tuesday the 13 of August at approximately 2:40 P.M. a Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department observed a silver four door vehicle run the red light at the intersection of Madison St and Lafayette St in Marianna.

The deputy did perform a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Winn Dixie parking lot and made contact with the driver. The driver was identified by his Florida Driver's License as Deangelo Bellamy of Cottondale. Upon running his driver's license, it was discovered that his license had recently been suspended in the State of Florida.

Upon the deputy taking Bellamy into custody for the suspended license, it was discovered that he had two pill bottles concealed on his person. One pill bottle contained several pieces of "Crack Cocaine" and the other contained numerous Hydrocodone pills, which Bellamy did not have a prescription for.

Bellamy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jackson County Jail to await first appearance on his charges. Bellamy was charged with Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine) and Trafficking in Hydrocodone.
