Posted: Updated:

The Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement (OALE) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are currently conducting a class called Outdoor Cannabis Investigations School/Aerial Detection School in Okaloosa County.

Multiple law enforcement agencies attending the class have been receiving training on detecting marijuana by aerial spotting and ground tactics.  Today, participants found 277 marijuana plants by aerial spotting in the Paxton area off Flowers View Road.  The street value of the plants at full maturity would be worth $512,000.00.

The marijuana was pulled and transported to the Walton County Sheriff's Office where it was turned in to evidence to be destroyed.  At this time there are no known suspects.
