If you travel the Hathaway Bridge, you may have noticed some work crews this week, and some lane restrictions. It was all part of an annual inspection.
You may remember last year, they had to make repairs to the joints of the span.
Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer Ian Satter says motorists are safe when they cross the bridge.
Satter says he does not anticipate the Hathaway Bridge being shut down for any reason during the inspection. The life span of a bridge, by the way, is 50-75 years.
