Drivers traveling State Road (S.R.) 30A between S.R. 30E (Cape San Blas Road) and S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) in Gulf County will encounter lane closures starting Monday, Oct. 7 as construction crews begin resurfacing work. The project also includes the addition of five-foot paved shoulders, drainage upgrades, and updated guardrails on the Simmons Bayou Bridge.
During construction roadside parking will be restricted, the speed limit reduced on S.R. 30A and access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times. While one lane of traffic will be open, drivers and pedestrians can expect temporary delays.
All construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone. For more Florida Department of Transportation District Three information follow us on twitter @MyFDOT_NWFL.
