The 2013 edition of the Central Panhandle Fair is winding down Saturday night. Nearly a week of ferris wheel rides and funnel cakes is just about over, until this time next year.
Thousands of people have made their way to the midway to get in on the fun. Saturday afternoon showers might have slowed down traffic for the final day but according to the fair fanatic, Judy Nelson, it was a total success, "I rode so many rides over and over again because it's so amazing this year."
Central Panhandle Fair Manager, Robert Johnson, has seen 13 fairs come and go. He is 75 years old and can attest to the success of these years fair, "This week it's been pretty good. We were down a little bit yesterday on the account of weather."
Despite afternoon showers and storms, Robert Johnson is pleased with this years outcome and is looking forward to planning the 2014 fair!
