WCSO Discovers Meth Lab During Search for Stolen Property, Two Arrested

Walton County Sheriff's Office Investigators secured a search warrant, Saturday, for the residence located at 118 Toledo Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida. 

The search warrant was obtained after investigators learned of reported stolen property being concealed at the location. 

Upon executing the search warrant for the stolen property, investigators discovered items conducive with the manufacture of methamphetamine. 

Based on these discoveries, a second search warrant was obtained in regard to the apparent narcotic activity. 

After preparing the second search warrant, investigators completed the search of the residence and recovered items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine including, pseudoephedrine, muriatic acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonia nitrate, red phosphorous and iodine crystals. 

A small amount of finished product methamphetamine was recovered along with numerous items of paraphernalia used in the manufacture process, which were also seized.

Two subjects residing at the 118 Toledo Avenue were arrested in relation to the narcotic equipment located there. 

Keith Bay Lewis II, 37, was charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of Narcotics Equipment.  Lewis also had an active warrant for Violation of Injunction for Domestic Violence. 

Justin Colt Bray, 31, was charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Narcotic Equipment.  The investigation regarding stolen property is still ongoing and additional arrests and charges are expected. 

Both subjects were transported to the Walton County Department of Corrections for booking and first appearance.
