The Bay County Sheriff's Office, US Marshall's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Panama City Beach Police Department have ended a foot chase at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon and taken two fugitives from justice into custody after the two fled when deputies attempted to serve warrants on them today at noon.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office received information early today that a wanted fugitive was staying in a home on Front Beach Road near Joan Avenue on Panama City Beach. As they approached two fugitives fled the home on foot and ran towards the area of Georgette and Allison Avenue.
A patrol car was sent to St Bernadette's school and daycare to monitor church grounds. The BCSO Air Unit and K9 Unit responded to the area to assist the search.
The BCSO K9 Unit tracked Jonathon C. Boston, DOB 10-12-73, to a wooded area where he was hiding in bushes next to a pond. As he was apprehended, law enforcement discovered a large knife hidden on his person. Boston was wanted for Dealing in Stolen Property, and now faces additional charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Resisting Arrest without Violence.
Law enforcement continued the search for John Anechiarico, DOB 10-12-73, in the area of Allison Avenue from Front Beach to Back Beach Road, including the Moylan Road area. Officers and deputies went door to door to inform residents of the fact Anechiarico could be in the area. A short while later, a woman living on Moylan called the BCSO and said that a man matching Anechiarico's description just knocked on her door and asked for a cigarette.
Law enforcement responded and within minutes Anechiarico was taken into custody without further incident. He faces multiple felony charges on outstanding warrants and now Resisting Arrest without Violence.
Boston and Anechiarico will be taken to the Bay County Jail and booked. They will face first appearance tomorrow.
