Healthy Start Walkers to Support Those That Have Lost a Child

Posted: Updated:

A special day to celebrate a special bond that even death cannot break. Mothers gather to remember babies that they barely even knew.

The Walk to Remember is for mothers that have lost children by miscarriage, at birth or as infants.

Today at oaks by the bay park in St Andrews nearly 400 mothers, fathers, and family members came for Healthy Start's Symbolic Walk.

Megan Williams came out last year in support of a friend that had lost child, not knowing that she would also lose her own child. This year has a new meaning for her.

"Just because they don't see my baby he is here with me he is always with me he is in my heart and to be grateful for what you do have and appreciate what you do have in your life and don't take it for granted", says Williams.

Panama City Commissioner Billy Radar made a proclamation at the event that October 15th will be pregnancy and infant loss day.
