Man Charged with Shooting in Panama City on Saturday
The Panama City Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on October 12, 2013, in the 1000 block of East 9th Street in Panama City. Following a physical altercation, Nathaniel Hester, 43 years of age, was shot in the arm. Hester was treated at the scene for his minor injuries and released.
The shooter was identified as Frederick Hall, 36 years of age. Detectives and officers were able to locate witnesses who observed the altercation and provide enough facts to obtain warrants for Hall. Warrants for Hall's arrest were obtained, charging him with Attempted Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession a Firearm while Committing a Felony, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Assistance was requested from the United States Marshals Florida Regional Task Force to help locate and apprehend Hall. The task force is comprised of U.S. Marshals and members of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Bay County Sheriff's Office, and the Panama City Police Department. Members of the task force apprehended Hall on October 14, 2013, near Joe Moody Harris Park.
