Prep Round-Up- Saturday, November 9th: Volleyball, XC, Swimming

On Saturday, several area volleyball teams looked to punch their ticket to the State Final Four. In Class 1A, the Sneads Lady Pirates hosted Blountstown, and Sneads, wins in straight sets- 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 to lock in a bid at State, where they will face Newberry in the Final Four.

In Region 3, the Baker Lady Gators advance to the Final Four for the third straight year, beating South Walton in three sets. Baker will play Hilliard.

Moving to Cross Country, and runners looked to bring home some hardware today in Tallahassee as the Finals took center stage. In Class 2A, Arnold Lady Marlin Michaela Ashley was the top local finisher, taking 15th at 19:31.14. On the boys side, Thomas Howell from Blountstown, who took 10th at Regionals, finished 47th, while the Blountstown Tiger team, finished 24th. 

In swimming, no one brought home gold on Saturday at the 2A Finals, but there were two top ten finishers to talk about, as Bay High's Dylan Mock finished 9th in the 100 Free, and the Bay High boys 200 yard freestyle relay team also finished 9th.
