This week, ABC News Anchor Amy Robach will undergo a double mastectomy for breast cancer.  Robach's cancer was discovered after undergoing a mammogram on-air on Good Morning America's breast cancer awareness show in October.  Robach says getting the mammogram on GMA was a life-saving decision.  She's hoping this is a powerful message for all women.

At News 13, we want to do our part as well.  That's why we've developed the Buddy Check 13 program.  On the 13th of each month, you will receive an email reminder or text alert to do your breast self-exam. We'll also remind you on-air.

Simply sign up here at wmbb.com or text the word "buddy" to 2-1-3-2-1.  That self-exam could save your life.
