A Bay County county man is facing prison time for molesting young girls.
The State Attorneys office says Rodney O'Neal Lockhart, 44, was convicted Thursday for solicitation of a child for a sexual battery by a person in a parental position and lewd and lascivious molestation.
According to reports Lockhart began having sexual contact with a young girl shortly after his wife died, and in another incident he fondled another 14 year old girl.
Lockhart faces up to 20 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on December 6.

A Bay County jury convicted Rodney O'Neal Lockhart on Thursday of molesting two girls. Assistant State Attorney Megan Ford showed jurors during the oneday trial that Lockhart, 44, of 412 Wateroak Circle, began having sexual contact with a young girl shortly after his wife died. The conduct continued into 2013, when Lockhart fondled the breasts of another 14yearold girl. Lockhart was convicted of solicitation of a child for a sexual battery by a person in a familial or custodial position and lewd and lascivious molestation. Lockhart faces up to 20 years in prison when Circuit Judge Michael Overstreet sentences him Dec. 6.
