An iconic amusement park makes a strong return to Panama City Beach.

Miracle Strip Pier Park celebrated it's official groundbreaking, on a new and nostalgic addition to their current space.

The new park will be located about 200 feet away from their old location in Pier Park and it will be about 12 acres bigger.

Once all of the renovations are finished they will have a total of 20 rides, including some you might remember from your childhood.

The rides include the Bullet, the Rock-O Planes and one of the most popular rides.. The Starliner Roller coaster.

The owners of the park say it's all about the memories, old and new.

"It's not just us alone, there are a lot of people have looked forward to this day for so many years," said Teddy Meeks, Owner. "We are trying to resurrect our take on it, we can never recreate the nostalgia that was there.. we can only do our take on it and we'll do the best that we can."

Construction on the new location will start next week and they expect to have it ready for business by April. The Starliner will be ready for the 2015 season.
