Two Charged with Selling Synthetic Drugs

Posted: Updated:

The Bay County Sheriff's Office today announced the arrest of two white males after twenty one bags of synthetic narcotics were discovered in the vehicle they were driving.

On December 01, 2013, a BCSO deputy on patrol near Cherry Street and North Kimbrel Avenue observed a car with an expired license plate. The vehicle drove into the BeeLine gas station at 6217 Cherry Street and stopped at a gas pump.

When approached, the driver identified himself as Michael Dennis Walraven. Walraven appeared nervous, as did his passenger Edward Wilson. When a BCSO K9 dog had a positive alert on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics, a search was conducted on the vehicle.

Deputies discovered twenty-one bags of synthetic narcotics placed within different pockets of a backpack that appeared to be separated by size or weight, and drug paraphernalia within the car.

Walraven, age 24, of 6408 Heather Marie Lane was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Wilson, aged 23, also of 6408 Heather Marie Lane was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
