The Bay County Sheriff's Office is working a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of December 2, 2013, and is asking for the public's help to locate two men believed in the home at the time of the shooting.
At about 3:30 AM Monday morning, the BCSO responded to a 911 call from the mother of the victim stating her daughter had been shot. Deputies arrived with EMS at the home located at 1416 W. 29th Court, Panama City, and found a victim shot once in the abdomen.
The victim was transported to a local medical facility where she is in stable condition.
BCSO Investigators responded to the scene and spoke with the victim's mother and Blake Youngblood, both of which were in the home with the victim at the time of the shooting. The victim's mother stated she was asleep at the time. Youngblood gave one version of what happened to investigators and later changed his account. The second account matched the victim's statement.
Investigators believe Youngblood and the victim were with two other men in the victim's bedroom playing video games. The three men decided to leave when Youngblood took out his handgun, took the magazine out and accidentally pulled the trigger. The victim was shot once in the abdomen. The two other men fled the home with the gun. Youngblood stated he stayed behind to help the victim. The victim stated she did not wish to press charges.
Youngblood, 19 years old, of 1510 Arthur Avenue, Panama City, was arrested and charged with Improper Exhibition of a Weapon or Firearm, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Making a False Official Statement.
One of the other men in the home at the time of the shooting has been identified as Renaldo "Majestic" Williams. The other is known only as "DJ". Anyone with information on Renaldo "Majestic" Williams or the other man "DJ" is asked to contact the Bay County Sheriff's Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
