On December 6, 2013, the Holmes County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at the residence of Frederick Gordon Fondo, located at 1471 Reddick Mill Road in the Poplar Springs community.

Deputies discovered approximately 150 pounds of "synthetic marijuana", along with paraphernalia, firearms and cash.  Fondo was arrested along with his wife, Shelia Marie Fondo and son Frederick Tyler Fondo.

The arrests were the result of a month long investigation into complaints of suspected illegal activity at the residence by the Holmes County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of the Washington County Drug Task Force.
