As the nation looks at going high tech in our student's classrooms, Bay District School Leaders are out front to guide other districts through digital transformation.
Instructional Technology Staff Members, led by Tamra Hogue, are joining 20 other districts in a "Teaming for Transformation" effort.
The Consortium for School Networking chose Bay District because of its current effort to incorporate technology, including its "Bring your Own Device" initiative.
Hogue said she and her staff are excited to share their experiences with other districts.
"It is an exciting time to work in the field of technology and education because so many things are changing," said Tamra Hogue, Supervisor of Instructional Technology and Media Services. "It is very rewarding when the students are performing, the students can see that the technology has made a difference."
The 21 school districts are currently collaborating through online communities but will meet at the Consortium's annual conference in March.
